This is a model I made of Star Wars aesthetic Macro-binoculars. I left certain areas open to allow for user installed LED lighting to give it a real prop effect. Can easily be filled with sintra or similar material if desired. I include both a solid eye-tube and a slotted one. Note the picture of the eyetube with the slot - I include a precut disc with engraving to give you an idea of another option you can do with this - I am a fan of edge-lighting acrylic and translucent PLA with LED's to give a futuristic flair to props. You can install led strips around the eye tube, shining into the slot where the acrylic [you may have to cut your own, the template for size is provided] slides into. The idea is, you can engrave difference designs into the acrylic either with a Cricut machine or with a careful hand and engraving tool. The LED light waves will light up the engraved area as you look through the eyepiece. Just a cool option I thought I would include with the set for those who like the go the extra mile.
The side faux switch plate fits into a square slot that is cut to allow a real rocker switch for those who want to install and use it to power on/off their LED's. The switch in question can be found here: https://www.grainger.com/product/10C584?gclid=Cj0KCQjwudb3BRC9ARIsAEa-vUuDAvKI3PMt1Kc0T5RMT6mVSVKfexaipOuYsqOGcIPB6N71WazwDEYaAilzEALw_wcB&cm_mmc=PPC:+Google+PLA&ef_id=Cj0KCQjwudb3BRC9ARIsAEa-vUuDAvKI3PMt1Kc0T5RMT6mVSVKfexaipOuYsqOGcIPB6N71WazwDEYaAilzEALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!2966!3!281698275264!!!g!470148536790!
The tubes slide into the macro bino body, and end caps are meant to be installed with hot glue or epoxy. The focal access plate installs with 1/8" screws [of your choice] and has holes predrilled for them. You can also install clear acrylic discs on both ends of the eye tube - user optional. The caps are designed to allow for a 1/8" gap if discs are installed.
There are two slots on the side closest to the eyepieces that have .8" slots modeled into the corners to allow for a 3/4" nylon strap to slip into, for those wanting a way to strap these up.
The top part of the bino's has a raised section that is hollowed out and is able to accept a red laser epoxied inside to shine through the opening of the greeblie. Another option for electronic-minded builders.
Biggest file dimension: 8.03" x 3.5" x 6.45"
